i had my mark vii done by auto dogs in audobon few years back, did a VERY nice job.

think it was like 200 though

Decent quality tint film is important but it's the installer that makes the real difference. Shouldn't cost more then $200. My LS was $200 the Mark was $175.

i tinted mine myself, and it wasnt bad... the shrinking on the rear window was the hardest.... since it was my first time i needed all the tools too... so after buying bulk tint, and the tools, it wasnt worth it... and you WILL screw up the back window on the first shot...

get it professionally done and you won't regret it...can't afford it yet? then save up til you do because if it's done by a professional it must be professionally done or else they do it til it's done right......

I've tinted windows in the past. Usually have the back one done professionally if there's any seams or defrost wires, I'm not good enough to do them.

Quality tint is important. Even professional shops can use :q:q:q:qty tint. Those purple tinted windows are what happens after what used to be black "fades" in the sunlight. Good tint wont fade. Find a shop that warranties their work against purpleing and bubbles.

Just chiming in, Rich, do not do it yourself-ya know, it's the old saying, 'two kinds of people take apart a watch, a watchmaker and a fool'-save up, you want it done correctly.

I bought that pre-cut once off ebay and it sucked and I also sucked at it. I was trying to do the back window and it's a window you don't want to tackle. I just took mine and had it done by a guy that had been tinting for 17 years and even he said I had one of the hardest back windows he has ever had to do. Mine was $150 all the way around. First time getting it done with 5% was $250 because of the thickness of the tint and the work involved with the back window and two days later I was pulled over for it. Had it all redone again at 35%. I don't like it but at least it's tinted. He really hated to see the Mark come back again and having to do the back window. He done the entire car within 30 to 45 min and made it look so simple and it's completely bubble free. Back window was done all in one peice, not in strips. LLumar was used I believe.

If you go to a reputable shop, it'll come with a lifetime warranty.
Especially good to have on that back window in a sunny state.
