solid order.... I put my tune above any of my other mods.... but with the LS the tune does the tranny too so its even more important and better a mod. Then I would still say converter then gears. atleast for the LS, auto stangs and Fbodies...... i guess i should have played more iwth the mark than i did.

Hmmmm.... looks like I could get some 5.13's!

now thats a bit steep!!!!!!! LMAO!!!!!!!!!! If were staying NA I'd swap an 8.8 into the LS and run them just to make you guys think it was streetable...LOL then watch your 4spds steepen them up a bit in final GR and laugh!

Same with the Mark 8's..
Once you weed thru the tune and take "all the lincoln" out of it..it's a different car all together.

IMHO more gains are to be had in the transmission functions and the fuel tables than there is just "chunking spark" at the car.

first I think converter > gears if for no other reason than it doesnt matter how you make the power, a stall is definitely going to help.

whats the first iyo?
I did a tune, converter then gears/trac lok. There are gains with the converter with stock gears but traction becomes more of an issue trying to launch hard without an LSD. It's a lot easier to lauch hard with the LSD.

Also more gear will tame a looser converter. I went with a 3500 stall after talking to a few people about what would work best for the car. Drivability suffered quite bit with the stock 3.08 gears. With the 4.10s it wasn't very noticable in normal driving.

I would agree about the tune. The shifts as slow and soft. After driving the LS for a while a would have to say it's much worse then the stock 4R70W in the Mark VIII and the electronic throttle is killing me.
