Well Im about to do my first tune up on my Mark. I was told that the gap on the plugs is .054. When I heard that my jaw dropped to the floor, being that I was use to .035 on most of my other cars. Is there a smaller gap or a better gap for performance or just go with that one?

i always gap them to .054 never any problems. i cant see gaining anything off gapping them differently. i could be wrong.

Jamie is right, when I first got my 98 somebody put plugs in that had been gapped at.042 it had midrange misfire.I regapped to.054 and it runs great.

I have mine gapped to .036 all the time cause I run with nitrous some times. I have no ill effects driving around or racing without the nitrous. Car seams to run good all the time at this gap.
