Pison ring failure?

anyone ever lost a set of oil control rings on a gen2 aj35? #4 on mine is burning it like a coal train

Haven't heard of it happening before but I'm sure it has(I've got to believe, produce 500,000 of something and if it can go wrong, at some point it will.

Maybe you've just got a valve seal or two that's utterly destroyed; it does seem unlikely that your oil control ring itself would be an issue

its true that its VERY unlikely but givin the nature of when it burns the oil (wot 4500-6500) its characteristic of ring failure
