Are the pillar post covers really worth it? No sales pitch, please. I don't want them to just peel off or come off when washing or something. The stock posts between the two windows are ... a little "off" on mine, and I can either try and replace with OEM parts (price check?) or cover them up.

Thanks for your opinions, fellas. :cool:

i just saw those covers as well. bit too pricey for me. a little bit of wd-40 on a rag and they will be back to black shine.

depends on which ones you get. They sell some that are basically chrome tape and some that are actually metal. Mine are metal, Had them for about a year with no problems other than people putting the finger prints on them. You can also get carbon fiber.

I think LSKoncepts has them in black... which is what I'd do, actually.

Wondering the cost difference in overlays vs. replacing the original parts. I don't want chrome nor carbon fiber.

Ive seen a couple of guys just get them professionally repainted. dont think it would be much over 50 to 75 bucks. especially if you take them off.

The cost of the black b-pillar overlays is $79. To replace the original 00-02 LS b-pillars will cost this:

Right Front Door = $66.83
Left Front Door = $68.93
Right Rear Door = $69.50
Left Rear Door = $70.17
TOTAL = $275.43

We sell both items. However, you can remove your original b-pillars as mentioned above, have them painted or paint them yourself.

With a mild abrasive polish and a buffer you can restore them yourself. I used a cleaner wax (Zymol) with no abrasives and an orange light cutting pad and it helped a lot.

i have the covers and they are crap! Don't waste your time. I am painting mine one at a time now. What a difference. Please, lets keep our cars beautiful and avoid cheap fixes that look like heck.
