Was it like that when you bought the car or did you do something to get it that way?
 
my 97 lsc has perfect rear trim..... Garaged for the last 6 years though

it was like that when i bought the car... i got lucky i guess..

i remember my old mark viii had dried up , hard as hell , wavy, pitted, gasket
 
that's how mine looked a little over a year ago, it was an ohio car, az hasn't been too friendly in that aspect
 
the rear trim is hit or miss
i have a 1995 with 232k miles and perfect rear trim,

my dad had a 93 thatstayed perfect all the time he owned it ,but has another 93 currently that has 114k and is all messed up and nasty.

my guess is the supplier of that rubber trim to ford used various quality throughout the production years.

it could have been.. i dunno.. the window glass itself looks to be aged..

and judging by the rest of the car's condition.. im thinking it was garaged most of its life...

im just glad its like that ...i got ill looking at the Fugly gasket on my old mark
