It's not complete, but it's close. I have a different stripe package I'm putting on tomorrow. If I don't like it I will change it back to this set up. Hope you like!

Eh, not my thing. Its different though. Good work trying something new.

That looks sweet!! The grill okks great painted to the top color along with the trim on top of it. The shaved door handles really smooth up th lines too.

The interior looks good, but the painted dash is a little over the top for me personally.

Regardless you did a fantastic job doing the repaint, it is absolutly flawless.
I would love to see the car in person.

I appreciate that not all will like it. I personally LOVE IT!!!!!!!! In person it has its own Ehness, you might say.:) I get nothing but, that looks awesome 10 times a day.:runaway: So, thanks to the people on this board that have KINDLY stated, to each their own. It seems everyone has stayed safe and stuck to the solid color paint jobs, probably because they look awesome. I love a solid color paint job on our cars as well. I also like to changing things up a bit.:headbang:

After all the years of owning this car, there is only one person I know of personally that has tried something new and different, Davford17( keep it up brother):bowrofl: . My hat is off to everyone that has tried to do something other than what the majority are doing with these cars. I have been told PICS don't do the paint job justice. I just love looking at the car any possible way I get a chance. :dancefool

My god, where would we be today if we just did everything that our neighbor does. How daring is that? To those of you who like it, THANK YOU. To those that don't, I can appreciate that as well. But for gods sake, What ever you do in life, change things up a bit, try something different. Take some chances, floating with the current is boring.

seanklsc, your car looks great. That is exactly what my car was before the change. Except it has a custom interior. But, after 10 years of ownership, it's a very refreshing change. Thanks for taking the time to give your opinion. Best of luck with your ride, they are beautiful automobiles.

You know what the greatest part about doing all of this is? Once I'm board with it, I can change it.:Beer

Hey if you ever come down the Tulsa way let me know i'd love to see the car.

Thanks guys. Doing this, It was one of the best times I've had in years. I did everything myself including buffing it out. I had a friend spraying it for me. It took just over a month of eight + hour days of steady work. I now know why these guys charge 15 grand for a show quality paint job. I removed all glass and trim, as well as the bumpers and everything else I could get off of the car. I can honestly say, I know this car inside and out.

I really wish you all could see it in person because, the PICS really don't do the paint job justice. I'm thrilled to death with the final product. We were able to do under the hood as well as all the door jams and trunk. If anyone gets the opportunity to do something like this, don't hesitate. It was so rewording and worth every minute I put into it. If you do get the chance to do something like this, make sure you tag EVERYTHING. By doing so, it made this a very enjoyable experience. Without tagging everything, it would have been a true nightmare.:headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Thanks again guys.

It came out way different than I expected. I'm not too sure about the grille color but I definitely like it.

I'm not one for two tone paint on a mark, but I must say I like the way you have done it. I like it. Hopefully you can make to the cruise in canton.

By the way, the cruise-in, in Canton, Illinois is on the 15th. Usually a great cruise-in.

Are you coming to the beach party this summer?

Yes, I think I will. I have a little hottie that wants to go, so why not. It should be very interesting to meet a lot of the people here. It should be very interesting to see what type of different people we have here, whether they are kind or egotistical or what not. It sounds like a lot of fun.

I will have to see if I can find a room around there, maybe at the town 10 minutes away or something. I don't think I should make her sleep in a tent.
Or should I. I have some property in St. Croix Falls, WI. Might kill 2 birds with 1 stone, as they say.

The car itself is far from perfect. It looks great in PICS, but it definitely has it flaws. I don't know how many saw the April Car Craft? The cover was $1,016.00 paint job. That's kinda the approach I took. I'm still happy as H E double hockey sticks. I look forward to seeing you up there Kustom.

Looks great-
have you ever explained how you painted the interior?

Thanks, as far as the interior, I used Easy Off oven cleaner to remove the rubber coating and then just sanded it down and shot it with primer and paint. It wasn't difficult at all. The center console I just sanded it down then primer and paint.

Did you do the work while inside the car and tape off the interior, or remove all the trim pieces to do it?

I think it looks great.:headbang: I had been yammering on Geno for 6 months to do a photoshop of a two-tone for me so I could see what it looks like.

The sides of my DD have a few too many dings for my preference (4 kids and a wife that drives it to work occasionally) and I wanted to redo the sides to make them straight again.

Now if I do it I'll be called a copy-cat. I guess imitation is the greatest form of flattery. Now to import your pictures and play with the colors myself.;)

Well St. Croix is a good drive from Boscobel... not a drive for staying the night LOL...
