Performance improved heads and intake, made around a 40hp difference.
They're the same motor as a Mark, just minus 2 valves per cyl. Yet my 02 P71 will run neck and neck with a Mark... then again, apparently mine's a "factory freak."
16.30s at a high altitude track, where a stock gen 1 Mark at the same track will usually put down a 16.1. Corrected for track altitude would be a 15.2, corrected for density altitude it's more like a 14.7-ish. I hear early PI P71s are usually mid-low 15s.
