People are telling me that I got ripped off when I bought my 2002 LSE so I need you guys to tell me what you think. I bought my car with 38k on the clock and a certified pre-owned warranty until 100k. Car is absolutly mint and I only paid $16500 and traded in a 98 Chevy Blazer with 92K and they gave me $2800 so that means I paid $13,700 plus tax and warranty transfer which was about $16,350 after it was all said and done. Personally, I dont think I got ripped off.......What do you all think?? Thanks.

Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Either www.kbb.com or www.edmunds.com can give you an accurate appraisal of what you can expect to pay for a car. It doesn't sound like a great deal, but it sounds reasonable.

If you feel good about the deal, don't worry about it. Life's too short! Move on, and enjoy the car, it sounds like a nice one!

Thanks, it is a nice one :L I had to jump on it because I never see LSE's for sale in the Cleveland area.

Sounds about right, actually a good deal, for around here anyway. LS's like mine go for almost 19 still(17 seems about average). I have an '02 LS v8, premium, everything but nav, LSE package and probably so other little things and mine has alittle over 42K.

All depends on where you live I guess.

Fair deal, ive seen them go for more, lse and only 38k, seems fair if you bought it from a dealer.

Sounds like a fair deal on the LSE..assuming it's clean and well maintained, no accidents, etc.

I never trade my vehicles in..I either sell them outright, and usually get 2-4k more in my pocket, or in one case, I did better by donating it to charity..the tax writeoff on the value was better for me in the end than selling it myself. (older clunker). Vehicle donation Tax laws are not as liberal now, though.

It was bought from a pretty big Ford dealer in my area.

You did fine if in excellent condition. The LSE package is worth about $1500 more than a non. I found 02 non LSE V-8 sports all day between $15-$20 with 20k-50k last summer when I bought mine. So hard to find one in near perfect condition thou. I jumped on my 02 LSE when I found it and paid to get it cause of the near perfect shape. I bought mine with 32k for $19,900 last August. There was a 14k one at another lot with scuffs and I could tell the rear doors were repainted, dang shame, the sales guy was like "super low miles" who cares the person who had it obviously was a idiot.
