I have a 2001 LS and am wondering if anyone has had problems with their windows.

My passager side windows started making funny noises a few weeks ago so i quit using it. But like any normal person, i couldnt stand it and had to try it again... :Bang ....and this time it got stuck. Yes..it's WIDE open. :soapbox:
Sounds lkie the little motor in the door is gone. It makes a buzzing sound but no movement.

I have never taken any car to any shop for anything other than an oil change, so im not sure where to go. Is this somnething i should take to the dealership, or can i possibly take it to any autobody shop. I'm trying to save money so any suggestions you guys have would be much appreciated!!!

this is somehting you can do at home. the window regulators failed rather often in the 00 and 01 models. Talk to the folks at 5 star star listed in my signature. The can help you decide which part to get.

Chances are you will be able to keep the motor from your current regulator and attach it to the new regulator. The cost is around 50 dollars.

:I
a common issue. You'll see how they improved the part when you get the new regulator.

Mine got stuck down during the coldest week of the year (by Florida standards). I went to fix it, and it went all the way down, you couldn't see the window at all.

Fixing it is a 15 min repair, easy.

Part is $37
