It quit in the forward most position. It worked a few times that day when I was putting a cooler in the back seat and it did it's auto forward.

This is on a '98 LSC.

I didn't even notice it hadn't come back again, until I went to give this long legged gal a ride home late that night. Her knees were in the dash. Ha!

Anyway checked max fuse 18 under hood[Good] Then checked fuse #12 inside dash [Good]
When I manually move the seat switchs I can hear the relay click.

Suggestions of where /what to look for now before I take the seat out?

no, it will not. It must be from a 97 or a 98. It may physically bolt in, but the electronics and such will not just plug and play.

Wanna bet? Give me enough money, tools and time, and it WILL work! :D

Now then, 98lincm7... (why do some of you people pick such complicated effing names?!?!?!) is right. It won't work electronics wise.

Why would someone need a new seat track if the electronics go out? Are the Electronics built in to the seat track?

Thank You. I was offered a deal on a complete seat track setup.

EDIT: It has a broken GND wire at the large connector at the back of the seat. That is the problem.

But it is broken clean and even with the connector.

At this point I got the seat moved back.

When looking at it previously, it was to dark to catch this flaw.

Oh, come on Frogman, it's not that difficult! it's from my original email address when I had a LINColn MarK 7 LSC, and when I originally signed up for my account on here, I meant to make it 98lincmk8lsc, but I was so used to typing a 7 that I made a typo. I never fixed it. :)
