painting intake elbows?

Hi all ive searched for this for about an hour and cant find what i need. I bought the ebay insys intake for gen1 ls. I want black couplers instead of the blue ones but am worried about the paint peeling and the exposure to engine heat. Can I paint the blue couplers black? Any recommendations on how to paint them or what kind of paint to use? Or, is there a place I can buy the couplers in black, I've checked all 3 of my local auto parts stores and had no luck finding them in black.

Painted mine black with a high temp engine paint last year and they still look exactly the same as the day I painted them.

Did you sand them or prime them before painting ben?

Looks good Ben. I'll have to try it when I paint the tube and heatshield.

No primer but I did rough them up a bit before painting. They have held up really well.

The heatshield is painted with the same stuff.

Painted mine last week, been letting them sit on the counter, so far I can flex them all I want...I'm kinda shocked.

But it almost feels sticky, I hope the paint isn't going to turn the elbows into soup...haha
