the first one is with just one coat of paint on it then with a few coats and clear, then i attempted a Lincoln star. I don't know if I'm going to keep it, might just paint over it.

I say redo the Star, But this time use a stencil

i masked it off but since the the caliper isn't 100% smooth the paint ran behind it, but the red turned out awesome it has an awesome shine and its really bright.

im going to try making a stencil out of some thin plastic or maybe like a playing card or something, i'll experiment this weekend

Sounds like you put it on too thick, then it ran.

Im gonna redo mine this spring and paint the word LINCOLN on them

Calipers look good but you should have used a decal for the star, like Alex and I did. Those guys from ebay will work with you to get your desired specs.

Yeah use a decal....looks cartoonish like that.

I want mine done in black.

i have a quick question as well, so as we know the lug nuts on the back are all swollen up and i can't get them off the conventional way. I was wondering if anyone knew any tricks other than chiseling the caps open and taking them off with the lug underneath the cap. I had to do this on the front ones and it took like two hours to do them all. Until then i can't paint the back calipers

Just so you can raise your post count? Nice

I'm guessing more like trying to be a smartarse

I used a Snap-On brand rounded lugnut remover impact socket. It took a few tries, but ripped the bad covers off.

Actually they made my eyes wiggle..

":shifty:"

I suppose explaining this raises my count by helping you to understand.

i know craftsman makes one of those too, i might see if that'll work before i pay snap on prices

i would too if i could afford the extra, plus my dad bought me most of my craftsman tools when i was younger. nothing like getting an air ratchet instead of a video game for Christmas, lol my friends thought it was dumb until there car broke and they were paying me to fix em
