I was going to paint my eyelids for my 02 LSe. I read on here that you need to paint them and use some sort of glue.

What kind of paint do I use? How many coats? Do I clear coat after?

What kind of glue or contact cement should I use?

thanks

I say it would be easier to do the lsk eyelids. 40 bucks and some glue for the ends of it, well plus color matching.

which is what I am asking Alax

what kind of paint to match? do I clear coat?

what kind of glue?

Oh my bad. I thought you meant you were going to paint ON your eyelids.Guess I read it too fast.

Whatever your paint color says on your car, or just go with a black. You can get your paint from here

Your paint isn't tri coat is it? Yeah you should cleat coat to protect it and give it a good finish. Glue, Quick said he uses contact cement.

You can, but you still need to paint them. Otherwise they will turn green.

+1

I dont think they are painted black, it's just the color of the material but the sun will turn it green

all i did was put clear coat on mine, or should i have painted it black also????

Clear coat would prob protect it enough. Dont take my word for it though.

so how many coats of each?

Is there a specific kind of contact cement or specific method?

I bought these before and they turned green and fell off but I didnt paint or use contact cement

Just clean you headlight so they stick on there good and apply some cement. As long as the contact cement can stick to the lens you should be good with it, I dont know what types there are, never bought one. It doesn't need a really strong hold either way. 2-3 coats should be fine

As far as the adhesive, I used some 3m emblem and trim adhesive. Comes in a little squeeze tube. I bought it at walmart.
