I know that Eibach makes a set but what other brands are available and which are the best. I don't want it to ride like a brick!

Anyone with Eibach pipe up!! How do they ride?

I have been looking to do the same thing as you and I too cannot decide. Eibach, Springtech, Intrax, and one other company make springs for our cars. Eibach has a ~1" drop, and the intrax and springtech have about ~1.5-2" drop. The Eibach's are name brand, so some will say better, but I have asked around also and people with the Intrax and Springtech springs have been happy. BTW I wanted to lower my car for looks, not because I wanted it to handle better, although if that was a side benefit, then Awesome.

springtech is the way to go... i have zero complaints.. and it makes the car look so much better

I have had the Eibach's on my LS for about 3 years and have had no issues with them. I'd recommend them to anyone. I noticed the ride was a tad firmer but nothing that would jar your teeth. I will say that the handling is MUCH more controlled. My setup includes the Eibach springs with the OEM Sport version shocks. A great combination, IMHO.

Agree with the Eibach. I have before and after pics on my site...

I went with springtechs just to get a little more for my money. I didn't think the 1" drop would as noticable and worth all the hassle.

SpringTech 1.75 drop and loving it. Check out my gallery...the ones with the stock rims are with the drop. It was during the winter and I haven't taken pics with the 18s yet.

ive had my eibachs on my 01 LS8 and i love it, looks aggresive and didnt notice much in the ride quality.

I have the Eibach kit and noticed a little bit firmer of a ride. The car looks great though and handles well.

Lowering Springs

Hi there,

I am aslo looking to lower my car. I just got some 19's. I would prefer the lowest ride possible!! ( I'm thinking back to the early 90's when all my friends were cutting --springs-- and dropping their Mustangs 3" - 4"). I keep seeing a company name: Intrak with a 2" drop spring set but I can't find them on the net. I'm thinking it's a misspelling of INTRAX???

My car:

01 V6 5 Spd.

Thanks,

Shan

HOLY "BACK FROM THE DEAD" BATMAN!!!:)

P.S. I installed Eibach's and they ride great. IMHO Better than stock ride.

Ditto on the Eibach and Stock Sport Shock combo. Perfect. I couldnt imagine lower, though. Im already slightly scraping the underside of the chassis on speed bumps if I go to fast, and also scrape if I back up too quickly into my driveway. No tire rubbing at all, though with my 245 40 18's.

I agree, and they actually lowered mine 1.25", any lower would be a problem for me.
