One feature you wish your Mark had

One "feature" I wish my 94 DIDN'T have is that damn auto-down driver side window! I despise those ~almost~ as much as friggin side-post batteries.

If I'm in heavy traffic at highway speed (esp. if it's raining) and want to crack the window an inch, I don't want to have to futz around with it... down too much, then back up too much, then back down, up trying to stop it at just the right place... grrrrrr.

Otherwise, if mine had come with chrome 10 spoke directionals I'd be happy with it as is...
Dont press the button down so hard.

94s don't have a two position button like the 2nd gens do.
i can never get 2nd gens to auto down cuz i always forget about the 2nd click.

I know this is a old thread but I really would like a hidden deploying spoiler like Porsche and the Audi a7. This shouldn't be hard to do actually for a fabricator.

When I had one, I always wanted real front suspension. Sorry, the factory design SUCKED!

Not being sarcastic, just curious...what sucked? It's a proper upper and lower control arm design befitting a luxury sports cruiser. It has integrated air spring/shock absorbers with automatic leveling control. It handles pretty well for a big, almost 2 ton, 2-door boat. Sure, the ball joints crap out after about 10 years, but that's typical. Personally, I think all vehicles, regardless of whether they're cheap econoboxes or premium luxury cars, should have SLA front suspensions. I hate struts. It's a cheap, simple design that offfers little in the way of adjustment (without caster/camber plates) and should be relegated to only the cheapest of the cheap wrong-wheel-drive econoboxes (yeah, I know the Cobra has struts, but I don't have a choice in that matter right now, at least it's RWD).

As for what I wish my Mark VIII had? Driver adjustable electronic magnetorheological shocks!!!

The whole idea of a strut rod bushing as a pivot for the front suspension sucks if you really want to get down to it. The quasi lower contol arm setup is alway functioning under some degree of bind. I true pivoting lower A arm would increase handling and suspension accuracy; probably without sacrificing much if anything in ride quality.

Edit to stay on topic: Air conditioned seats would be awesome as well as some more bolstering more like an AMG product

Agreed. That's the only part of the front suspension that I never cared for either. It really doesn't make a lot of sense.

just thought of a few more, HID's in base marks right out of the factory, 17x9 chrome 20 spoke directionals, the dissapearing door concept that im sure everyone has saw on youtube, and air conditioned seats would be a nice idea.

A running motor

+1

Also, not sure if it's the same way on gen 2s, wish the shifter wasn't so close to the cup holder, look like a retard shifting, when a big tall ass drink is in the cup holder. :p Know it's not a feature, just wish there was more space.

6 speed and trac lok, i can not believe they never offered trac lok in them. 6 speed would be my one but while i am at it.

nice options i would have like to have seen

nice set of fog lamps

heads up display with night vision

remote start

manual ride level settings like asham 8. not that i have air ride but still it would be nice.

a/c seats

emblem delete

steering wheel controls for radio and ac

adjustable pedals

thingd i would change that are not option related

a normal lug pattern. not a fuggin f@guar pattern. not really an option just a stupid decision by fo mo co.

a real cup holder

sport seat option. something you sit in, instead of on. dont get me wrong i love my lazyboy on wheels i just hate bracing myself for the next corner.

and a partridge in a pear tree.

The reason the car didnt get a TL was because they offered traction control and the car was never ment to be a 0-60 monster. Also supposed to be quieter opperation but I never could hear a difference. Although with much larger tires and Borla exhaust I am sure I wouldnt be able to notice.
