Oily substance in intake tube

Just a few nights ago I added sea foam to my gas tank, throttle and accidentally my driver side crank case. I Thought I had it in the right place but some how I put it into the tube that goes directly to the case.

My oil level is at the right spot but I noticed a oily like substance that is actually clear inside my intake tubing. I was putting on my new KKM adapter when I noticed this.


When I sea foamed the car it did not smoke. From what I have read up on here it should have and I was actually disappointed as my irritating neighbor had his window open with his irritating music blasting:shifty:

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do or look for as far as what the culprit of this substance ma be? I know I must clean the MAFS right away and will be out the door soon to buy some MAF cleaner from the Auto shop as well as buying some clean rags to clean up the rest but what could this be? I hope I didnt mess anything up that will lower my MPGs cause so far it has been great to me on that note.

where is the oil coming in from? (like from an inlet or from a specific place)

The V8 does not use PCVs so you do get some oil blow by coming off the valve covers into the intake tubing.

You need to get the Seafoam into the intake for it to work. At least half a can. There is a hose coming off of the intake tube near the MAF sensor which is under heavy vacuum when the engine is running. That's the hose you want. You pour in about half a can with the engine running, you might have to hold the throttle open slightly with your hand to keep the engine from stalling. When you've poured in about half a can cut the engine off for 3 minutes or so. Start it up and rev it a few times to get some smoke. Don't go overboard with the revving because the gunk that is getting sucked into the engine from the intake manifold leans out the fuel air mixture and can cause pretty bad detonation.

I don't think you're supposed to drive for long with the seafoam in the oil. You might want to change that soon.

Does the hose you talk of lead to the brake booster. I dont think it goes in that one should it? Any way, I then put it in the hose that leads to the TB from going by someone elses advice.

It is the first big hose that goes into the intake ( after MAF ). It is coming from that and down into my MAFS and almost made it to my filter.
