I'm looking to prolong the life of my IMRC's, I had initially installed a basic small air/water separator in line with the PCV system but this is proving to be insufficient on the 4v. It was fairly successful on my old 2v motor but it's not doing it's job in this application. I've been researching catch cans but all I'm finding is the type with large breathers on top which my tuner advises against because a breather is a vacuum leak on the 4.6's. So for those of you who are running an oil separator system on your marks, what are you using and how effective are they? I'm hoping to eliminate or greatly reduce the oil sludge deposits on the IMRC plates and ports.

I know the perfect way would be to upgrade to a dual injector rail and delete my IMRC's altogether and have it re-tuned but I'm not Rockefeller.

Thanks guys,
Chris

The small separator will barely work. The large Kobalt one looks like it works much better.
