i never said it was the best, nor Mark viii specific, but it has the torque specs, maybe you can talk Bill into snapping a pic of the oil pan page and posting it
doesnt somone have the Mark viii Ford issue manual downloaded? i cant remember if Bill ever redownloaded it or not

I read the torque specs somewhere but I cannot remember if it was foot pounds or not. So I will not say the number until I find it again.

From the 1998 Factory Manual.
Tighten in 2 Steps:
1. 20 Nm (15 Lb-Ft)
** I know the pic says 14 Lb-Ft, but the spec chart says 15 Lb-Ft **
2. Rotate an additional 60 degrees

my old oilpan has braces that go around the edges of the oil for the bolts, the used pan I bought doesn't have this was wondering if the gen2's have this and not the gen1's I already bolted it up without it just trying to find out if its gonna leak before I put the subframe back up

Theres a newer version and older one, the newer has the extra flange on it.

icarus is correct, we ran into this with k9's car. only thing is the bolts are too long so you will need washers or they will bottom out in the hole and not tighten up the pan. i believe its a 93/94 pan without the braces and everything up has them

Actually the original pan on my '94 had them as well, so thats why I didn't say years, just an eariler/updated version. I have no idea on the breakdown of what cars got them etc
