yesterday as i was coming for a trip the car suddenly overheated , i was at highway speed when that happened , i had to get the car towed to my house , when checked it this morning i have a muddy chocolate millk like residue all over the water reserve and in filler cap , oil in the dipstick is fine and the car doesnt miss hesitate or anything.

2003 v8

I guess intake manifold/gasket. No idea really, but that's my guess.

sounds like a head gasket issue. and yes this does happen from time to time instead of water in the oil.I really doubt its an intake leak.

Guy's, don't forget that the sport LS's have an oil to water cooler at the oil filter. I'd look there first since it is an area where the oil pressure would be higher than the water pressure, so the oil would go into the water and not the other way. It looks like an easy part to remove.

I haven't heard of any head gasket failures on the V8.
