Official LS Picture Thread

In Detroit you just need to start a riot. That will heat things up real quick.

a riot is more work than a lot of Detroit is willing to do...

well that and the part where there ain't that much left to burn down.

Still haven't had time to do a nice photo op, but this was on the way to Chicago for a wedding...car would definitely look better lowered but that's not going to happen with the snow fall we get.

The LS's rear quarter panel is also the C-pillar that then travels above the doors. It is probably the most expensive body panel on the LS.

Actually, there is a weld about half to 2/3 the way up the "C" pillar. It is said to be one of the most difficult welds to blend. If you look real closely at certain angles you can see a bit of a wave; that is the joint.

Right, so one would infer that both peices need replaced if one is damaged beyond repair? I don't know enough about welding to know if you can cut that seam, replace the quarter - then reweld it without it looking like garbage.

you wouldn't "buy a panel" to replace it with this car, you would take a donor car and cut exactly how much you need out... doesn't have to be the exact same place it was welded before.

Yup, I've seen it, it is there. +1

Lot of hours on that to replace.

I wish I could have positioned my car better. It's a small swamp between the cars. This is the friend I made just before getting the cops called on us for trespassing on unmarked private property (gravel lot in an industrial complex). I could have just left had the guy not called the plates in in under 30 seconds because I said I'd take 2 more pictures then leave instead of bolting to the car.
