a few months ago my airbag light came on and gave code 32. I checked the yellow connector under the driver's seat and all was fine. The dealer said $700.00 for a clockspring. He sounded disinterested in my problem and I think he just wanted me to go away so I said I would pass for now. Well the damn airbag light was driving me crazy ever time a drove the LS so I simply removed the cluster gauge face and pulled the airbag bulb. Then a while later my steering wheel controls started acting up, the cd player switched to radio when I pushed the change track button, the track would change when I tried to increase the volume, and a lot of other weird responses started happening. Now my horn doesn't work. It sounds when I lock the car with the key fob and also if I hit the panic button. I checked the horn fuse and its okay. I guess the bottom line is I will have to bite the bullet and replace the clockspring. To make a long story short is there anyone in the Toronto GTA that has had this done at the dealer and can let me know how much it cost. Thanks in advance for any info.

correct - bite the bullet.

The clockspring is a ribbon cable that runs the radio controls, horn and airbag through the steering column to the steering wheel.

the part is $100 US - so that's about $25,657,600 canadian.

not quite that much as our lowly Canadian dollar is creeping up there. Today it's worth about $0.95.4 US....so that means I will only need to spend about $25,657,599 Canadian. Thanks for the reply Quick LS, I guess I will do it. Still would like to know of any Toronto area LS owners who got this done.

I'm actually Canadian....

Flying through Toronto tomorrow to London. Wednesday flying to Vancouver. Friday home....

when I first move to Austin the dollar was at $0.63 US - those were good times....

hoping the senators can tie it up tomorrow night....
