along with the broad range of problems I've had with it under warranty...

this past year has really been telling me to be done with the car

a month ago @ 63K my rear window regulator failed and my AC failed

so this week was just pretty sweet...

my distributor coils are causing my engine to misfire (this happened two days ago)

now between yesterday and today I got a "service parking brake" warning... a service ABS warning and a "check advancetrak" warning

so within two weeks my god damned car turned into a Christmas tree full of fail lights... my center counsel has a warning light telling me my parking brake is sh*t, and there are three different other warning lights on my dash telling me "HEY! YOUR CAR IS SH*T!"

and this is all with 65K on the clock


I have an appointment at the Lincoln dealer on Thursday and I am looking very forward to telling the technician the problems going wrong with the car and then telling him "I looked for a "not satisfied" button so the car would burst into flames and I could get my money back but no luck finding one"

put it this way, if you took all the cars I own... and HAVE owned... bought both new and used... and put them together... all the problems with them put togetehr would still fall short of the problems I have had with my lincoln I bought with only 50 miles on it
 
My parking brake warning would go off when by battery would die and I would jump it. Be glad it's still under warranty. Well since it's under warranty it doesn't cost you anything to get fixed but if you want to get rid of it, you'll be getting rid of it and giving it to someone while it still has a warranty so thats good for whoever buys it.
 
the regulators, coils, wheel sensors are all fairly easy fixes - depends on the AC...

did you ever hook it up with Roush? I thought you were one that got their invite letter.
 
Just a thought here, as long as you are having issues and you are still under warranty you might want to consider purchasing an extended warranty from FMC. My car was a shop whore for the first 75,000 miles but I got many problems worked out while under the extended warranty through Ford and with 126,000 on it now it runs great with my issues centering around maintenance. Some dealers will offer discounted warranties, ask around and you can find a deal. I had a zero deductible warranty and there was never a cost when I went in for repairs, and my list was very long.
 
When my DCCV failed I got the same check advancetrack and service parking brake errors shortly afterwards. After replacing the DCCV everything cleared up.

Nahh.. I kinda figured I'll stay were I know something about the vehicle.. All I know about the Mark is some on the engines.. Of course..

To tell you the truth, I forgot this site had more than just the LS forum.. I have it RSSed on my computer and phone.. :shifty:
 
my warranty was done after 50K gentlemen

I also changed my sig... now that it has an LS and I made it 100% better than any other LS sig on the board maybe it will start cooperating

I sent the letter into roush but I never heard back from them... not sure if they changed their mind or found another car

Be sure to mention service bulletin 07M07, since they will probably try to have you pay for it instead of having it be covered under it.

So, it looks like the potential isues are:

Faulty COP(s)
rear window regulator
DCCV

Change the DCCV yourself, the dealer wants a sh!t ton of money to do it. Have them do the coils for free. Regulator's up to you. I don't know what a shop charges to swap one out, but it's fairly easy.

all of my pics of granny gold aren't a great quality for a sig... that GTO picture was taken going down a highway in muskegon and a friend of mine sat up on the window of his friends 2004 GT and started taking rapid pictures with a crazy expensive camera... he's the mayor or north muskegons son... lol

I knew about the regulator, the COP's I knew about from the other threads here, I'm just glad they are under warranty... but it is a weight off my shoulders to know that all the other faults are tied into one thing... I was getting pretty upset thinking they were all individual problems

I can fix the regulator easy if they are just like any other cars... the DCCV is something I am not familiar with though, I'm sure if I hit up alldata I would be good as gold though
 
dccv = dual climate control valve. The heater core is 2 heater cores. The dccv routes hot water to which ever side is calling for heat (pass or driver).

I hear on the gen 2 it's rather easy.
