I replaced my VCG, spark plugs and coils on Friday. I had to disconnect the fuel injector sensors as well to have enough room to torque the bolts. She's running great now. Better then she has in a very long time! I never had any error codes before the tune up just some shaking and occasional knocking. So I take it in yesterday morning to get my state inspection done. It fails due to two 'Not Ready Codes'. The guy tells me that the car may give these type of codes when the battery has been disconnect or other vital plugs/sensors. He then suggests that I drive it around for a while (50 to 100 miles) and then try it again. I drive it around and put over 100 miles on it and take it back in this morning. It fails again for the same two 'Not Ready Codes'! He tells me it may take some more driving...
Has anybody experienced this when any of there vehicles? I disconnected the battery after the last attempted just so the computer could reset itself.
