did a quick wash and wax on the car today and thought id throw up some pics.. dont look bad for a $1900 car..

HA! Somebody tried to remove your passenger front window trim and broke the plastic tab. :p Mines the same way. One of these days I'll get off my duff and drill out a hole for a screw to hold that thing in place.

$1900? Not bad. 6 or 8 banger? How many miles on it?
 
$1900?? wow sounds like you got a pretty sweet deal. Lol, i thought I got away with theft at $3600...

+1 on 97's post.. Miles? did you get the 8 or the 6? Also is this the black LS that was in the for sale forum for $2500?

its an 8 with 119,000 i bought off the guy on here a few months back for $1200 it needed a new transmission , i found one with 50,000 mi for $275 and threw it in there last week .. so now i have 1 lse and 1 ls for the price of one...lol
 
Hell yea! Good job dude!! Thats kinda what my plan was... I wanted to keep the engine out of my wrecked LS and find another one with a blow motor for cheap and just swap them out. :p

Ive noticed you can pick up an LS for around 1500 with engine or trans issues pretty often
 
naw i got this one from a guy on here a few months back , it drove in the sst mode just not in regular drive ,so i just drove it for a little while until i found a good deal on a tranny ,then i found that one for $275 so i threw that in there and it drives perfect now..
 
not sure what im gonna do with it yet ,might sell it and use the money to fix up the other one, my buddy wants to buy it for $4800 , the things i could do with $4800..... pretty much everything i want ..
 
i know i told him hes gotta wait till i get the other one fixed plus i dont have anything else to drive right now i just sold my mark viii
 
Did you do the transmission job yourself? If you did do you have any tips or any kind of write up you could do?
 
yea it is pretty much perfect, there isnt a ding or scratch anywhere on the car besides the front,im just waiting on a upper control arm to come that i won on ebay 3 weeks ago...:mad: the guys saying it must have gotten lost(yea right) as soon as i get that and put it on ill start the body work and paint..
 
the tranny cost $275 one of my buddies help me put it in for free..

He was referring to my hooker comment....but if it WAS a tranny....then I think he's got issues :/
 
LOL. Nice Pete.

I just want to know how hard it was to do the transmission swap. What did you use to do it (jack stands, an actual hoist?). I have heard and from looking at mine it is not an easy task to get at the bolts on the bell housing at the top.
