Got in the Mark (1995) today and let her warm up. After about 1min the idle shot up to 1,800. i thought "great, another TPS or IAC." so, I disconnected the IAC to drive it down to the local shop. Idle still at 1,100...weird.... shut the car off and reconnected IAC... NO START!!!! Still have fuel and spark and it turns over fine so Its not the alternator... Ideas??? Cam Sensor maybe? Im seriously done with this car....

how do you know you have fuel and spark?
cuz if you have spark, its probably not a cam sensor.

Has the crank sensor been replaced? Unplug it and plug it back and try again. Your computer could also be fried. Don't give up so easily.

Pulled a wire at the coil while cranking. For fuel i pulled off the threaded cap on drivers side and pushed the little button. Cam sensor has been replaced about 6months ago but i have had misfire and high idle issues off and on anyway. But the fact that the idle didn't fall all the way when i disconnected the IAC is killing me. and then when i reconnect it it just doesn't start? none of it makes sense to me.

computer has already been swapped. Just changed the TPS and its fixed. that is my 5th one in the past 6 months. Im thinking I need to check out my wires and look for a short
