I am a new mark viii owner of a 97 black on black LSC, 120k miles picked it up from a friend for $1000 interior is immaculate yet the hood and trunk have some serious oxidation. It already has the coil conversion done. Some how while driving the bolt for the speed sensor came off and threw a speed sensor code as well as spitting quite a bit of fluid through that hole. Does anyone happen to know what size that bolt may be? Thanks, also am looking forward to learning more about these 2 ton beasts. I will post pics when I figure out how to from my phone.

Right now I have come across that its leaking oil from the filter adaptor, and also is there an adjustment for the headlights? Mine are really low, my high beams are where normal level should be. Oh and the cup holders work I heard they like to go bad. But the stupid blend door actuator is busted or that arm is whatever it is. I'll get some better daylight pics soon.
 
Check the Oil Pressure Sending Unit ( the little sensor that's on the front of the Adapter housing) they leak like crazy

Yeah I know lol, the rears were on backwards and the fronts were right way but I had to get new front tires when I bought the car so I had them go the same direction. And thanks again. I'm just going to replace the gasket on the adaptor, and definitely check the pressure sensor.
 
Sapperfire. Don't tell me about oil pressure switches leaking! We were taking my son to college and he was behind in his 93 Mark VIII and we were waiting for the follow me vehicle on the road about 15 miles from home and he called us and told us he smelled something. I went around the flag man and pulled into a drive off of the road, peeked underneath and found his whole underside was coated with oil. He started it up and the switch was puking. We left the car sit there. Ran back to the town I work at 25 miles away, got a switch, picked up the tools at work, and got him back on the road in a little over an hr. Added 1.5 qts of oil. The burnt oil smelled electrical but we made it to school 80 miles away from where it went down. He had been driving it 90 miles a day all summer long without any drippage a few days before. You never know when something will let go!
 
Well I got a new unit Teflon taped it and replaced the O.F.A gasket. No leaks yet been 4 whole days lol. But seriously might as well do both really not that hard. Pull P.S pump pulley off, unbolt hard line to pump, unbolt pump, unhook hoses to pump, and there you should see the adaptor bolts oh and the filter will need to be removed to be easier to access bolts. Went back together faster than it took to take apart. Start at 11am and finish on road by 6. Had a 2 hour down time for lunch and go get parts and an hour to let the silicone dry on the adaptor side. That was just to hold the gasket in place to make it easier to install.
