NO CD error

Hey I searched and searched (I must either not be good at it or there was nothing about this)

Cleaned up my trunk today, Cleaned up my cd player blew it out (low psi) put 2 of my new CDS in cleaned up the ones in the holder also. Set cartridge in (heard it take it) get in car turn on radio, hit cd and NO CD comes up on stock 96 lsc mark 8

Doubled checked Lables up (as printed on top of cartridge)

You changer is dieing... it might work on and off but I wouldn't expect it to work much longer at all...

look for a new one or go aftermarket, the stock changers are garbage anyway.

did you put the CD's in upside down, it happens

You know shortly after I picked up my Mark around 4 years ago, the CD changer started to get the same no CD error. I took it out & opened it up. I tried cleaning parts & pieces & looked for anything that may be bad. I got it back together & the same thing. I took the cartridge out & looked in there one last time. There was a metal bar thingy in there. I pulled it or pushed it (can't remember now) anyways it clicked as I did it & I thought I had broken it. I put the cartridge back in & it worked & has worked ever since! It works just as it should. maybe that bar gets stuck or misaligned?

I played and played with it and finally got it to work, tell you what a stock working mark system sounds great
