Welp, took the LS on a road trip from NJ to good ol' Mississippi to visit my parents, and boy was the drive enjoyable. Interstate 66 and 81 are some fun roads with that 70mph speed limit through the mountains. 70mph still wasn't enough though since it was an 18hr ride each way. The truckers hated me for my glaring hids, and I hated them for taking up both of the only two usable lanes on every interstate driving at the same speed.
Anyway, I just wanted to throw a nod to my favorite car... and only car, the LS specifically for giving me a smooth ride, not breaking down, and its awesome handling on the curvy roads. I was getting 23-24mpg and only spent $110 on gas(93 octane) on the 1100 mile drive there.
I was surprised to see how many LS's were in Mississippi, uncommon cars in my area. BTW, this was Senatobia, MS which is right below Memphis.
While in MS, I drove then raced against my mom's 1993 40th anniversary edition Corvette with its 5.7 LT1. My dad was driving it when I raced it and we got clocked by a cop we couldn't see doing 125mph down the highway. Luckily, we got out of trouble. The cop said he couldn't catch the vette if he wanted to while I was fish food. So of course the vette ripped my little V6 by 5 car lengths. It was a good time though. Another cop told me he knew who I was because my LS was the 1 of a million down there with the angel eyes when he saw me speeding down the back roads. And by back roads of Mississippi, you know what kinds of stretches I'm talking about.
Too lazy to edit plates......
