Hey guys i was wondering whats the next mod i should do for more power in my 96 mark? i was thinking a cobra intake but i have heard gen one intakes are already very good what do you guys think? the mods i already have are in my sig.

i also forgot to say that no i dont want to do nos. and a have about a buget of about $500 so nothing major.

alright thanks for the ideas anything else? would a cobra intake really be worth it or not?

My vote is structual stiffening; braces and the like... Get the work done... Make her tight!!

Wouldn't you pick up more power with an 'X' rather than that 'H' pipe you currently have?

Also, another vote for chassis stiffening / bushing upgrades etc.

Wait... were we still talking about your car?

LMAO that was funny. and to blue i think you are right but the H was an on the spot dision i needed something fast, but is it really worth going back under there just to change to an X pipe? How much power would i gain?

I think the Cobra intake is worth it on a second gen, not a first gen.

yea that is what i heard that gen 1 intakes are already very good. i still might do a cobra intake cuz i can get a good deal on the intake from a friend i think. i was also thinking about a 1.5 coil convertion but i know alot people don't like that.

Lol... who gives a :q:q:q:q what other people think, I'm an air ride guy but that doesn't mean I have any hate for people who go coils except for Rich, but he deserves some hate.

LOL yea i might end up doing coils cuz my bags are 13 years old and have 100,000 miles on them so they have done there time and will probally fail soon.

i love my 1.5 coil conversion!

with the mods done, the money you want to spend - nitrous for sure

could do a set of adjustable timing sprokets too... should get you a few extra ponies

i wish i could do nos but this car is my DD and has 100,000 miles on it so i don't think it can take nos and still be reliable. If it blows up i am f**ked

In that case your next mod should be a beater car so you can do stuff to your Lincoln and not worry.

I'm going to have to agree with this! If your modded mark is your daily driver, and you have $500 burning a hole in your pocket, your next mod should most definitely be a $500 beater. I know it doesn't sound like a mod, but having another car to get back and forth to work in makes it SO much more fun when you are beating on your lincoln. For precisely that reason, I make a habit of always keeping at least 2 cars registered, insured, and roadworthy.

The thing is that i don't even really need a car (i am still in school) every wear i need to go to school, work etc.. i can get a ride too from one of my buddys or walk. don't get me wrong it is extremly useful and in the winter it would be hell without it but i could get buy. and i think a 500 doller car would by me nothing but more problems and i don't even think i could pay to have it insured, regustered and roadworthy. when i said that i would be srewed if i blow it up. I ment that if it was soming major it would take me forever to save up the money to fix it. one day i will buy a nice used SVT contour then i will go to town on my linclon!:D i guess it will be a coil convertion for now!

Have you done your fuel pump yet? Sway bars would be a nice handling mod. Wait a little longer and do sways and 1.5 drop. Niiice.BTW, were the Kooks worth it? Noticable gain or done at the same time as the rest of the exhaust?
