Well.. yet another forum I have joined. I just recently took ownership of an 06 LS. It looks like it comes with a few issues so look will be seeing me frequently on the forum. Had it just over a month and already replaced the front brake rotors, pads, plugs and thermostat and water pipe. Looks like I'll going back under the hood tomorrow because it seems like I didn't get a good seal between the water pipe and the coolant outlet hose (plastic) and it's leaking antifreeze.

:W

Just a tip to prevent someone ragging about it later. Try the "search" feature first. If you can't find what your looking for, then ask. I guess you could call it there "pet peeve" of sorts for some members.

Welcome and congratulations on the LS!

Those are good maintenance items to check off your list as theyre all things that would have to be repalced sooner or later anyway so it's nice to have the peace of mind that theyre taken care of right from the get-go. Another cooling system component that will need to be replaced sooner or later is the degas bottle. Also was there a reason you replaced the plugs? Was there any oil in the spark plug wells or on the coils when you replaced them? Another very common issue with these cars is oil leaking into spark plug wells due to faulty valve cover gaskets leading to fouled plugs and dead coils.
