Hello Gentleman,
I am a newbie to the thread but not to Lincolns. Have owned a 1974 and 1978 Mark. Loved them then and still do. Just got my hands a 110k Pearl White 1997 MarkVIII. Car is awesome. Can't wait to start the mod's. So here is my issue.
Wipers worked great, I noticed they were on the other day but not working. So I figured a fuse, no its good. I tried the squirters but nothing also. The squirters activated for a second and wipers moved but quit a 1/4 up the windshield. Now is it the switch itself or the wiper motor? Does the motor have anything to do with the squirters? I would think the switch since the squirters do not work. I would appreciate any help on this. South Florida weather is notoriouis for rain on a sunny day..

Well when you press the squirters it activates the motor... sounds like your motor may be shot... common on these ol cars. Not real fun to get to either. Find you a good motor and swap it out, of course, make sure they go into "park" position before buttoning everything up. Just in case. because I think that is fault in the motor too if they dont "park"

I really appreciate the insight on it. Any advice on sourcing a new motor. Go Fomoco or aftermarket. I would rather stay with OEM, even if it cost more. I am direct with Ford so I should be able to swing it. Thanks again and I would appreciate any insight into this issue. Can they repair/return the old units?

As it just so happens, I am parting out a Mark, and I just removed a wiper motor that works. This is from a 98, and will work just fine. PM me for a price.
