New to the site. Please Help

Hi everyone. I've had a base model '97 Mark VIII for about a year and a half. Recently ive had some trouble with it. I live in New York and this winter i hit a large pothole. Just after this i noticed that im getting stuttering under acceleration and its rough at idle. I don't feel anything strange when i'm at speed and not on the accelerator.

IDK what it is about the '97 year model marks. Every damn time I hear about one it has an idle issue, mine included.

You knocked something lose. Look for lose stuff.

Check for a vacuum leak. Also check your IAC valve.

Check for codes.

My guess.....coil on plug, unrelated to the pot hole.

+1, check the wands on the coils, any cracking or a flash hole (where a spark burned thru) will cause a misfire

I'd think coil on plug as well.

Mine has some wierd ass issues. IDK I'm trying to track it down, I'll find it eventually.
