New Sub and Amp

for comps, id go with polk audio, memphis, boston acoustics, diamond audio, focal, oz audio, hertz, dynaudio, morel, rainbowm, re audio. the xxx re audio sub is crazy and so are fi audio bt's, it all depends on how much you want to spend.

i agree, new subs are power hungry and weigh like 100 pounds, but the original hccas are spl legends, and can perform decently for sq if fit into the correct box.

i got some oz audio matrix elites in my van, they are comparable to the image dynamics idmax for those who are into sq subs...

oh ok yeah thats cool. i liked my memphis mojos, the re's are nice for sure. and yes if you have the money you can have nice :q:q:q:q. my first subs were regular opioneers got em when i was young, i am suprised at the bang for your buck with em, not that great but for the price not bad. im not a big fan of polk car audio but im fockin some polk 3-way stacks at home hooked up to a yamaha reicever.i also have some MCS 4-way air suspension stacks lol

The subs I was looking at a while back were RD Sonance V2 I believe. I was gonna get either 2 12's or 3 10's. But for some reason they were kicked off caco. Too bad too, they were offering excellent prices.

You can still buy RD, it is just the owner had an exchange with the owner of caco which resulted in a pretty lengthy controversy. In addition to that, he (RD) had a bad set of amps that were sent out of his shops which resulted in mass failures in which some people did not get warranties honored, and a huge mess developed etc. So basically the RD name has become slightly tarnished in the underground car audio world as of now.

Guess I'll just keep rockin my Directed SX12D4. It's decent :D
