well i have looked around here and there on this site... Dont really see any LS with a CARPUTER...... i like building them but they take a wile to do. time and effort (yeah i am a lazy person :) ) ... well i had one in my show car that was an accord. but that is totaled and long time ago....

www.mp3car.com is the website i have been reg. on for years. about 3 years ago i built my first carputer and it was awsome. but times have changed with pc's and so forth. I belive i am going to start another project. take my indash flipout tv and mold a lilput tv in it's place and start from there.

any of you guys ever wanna try this?
 
ive thought about it but its a lot of work. and would rather just use my computer at home, im typing on a 42in samsung dlp right now. its pretty cool...

i have the knock off iphone ;) the ipod touch that is hacked...... i have a 42inch flatscreen 1080p in the bedroom i lay on at night to type on but in my office it's just a LG 24inch flatpanel (FREE FTW) :)

back on track though... if u put a lilput screen you can have wireless wifi,bluetooth,navi,touchscreen that is custom with backgrounds and all sorts of stuff and you can tap into the controls on the steering wheel with some circuit boards if you know alot about pcs..

i own a local computer company so i have all sorts of shyt laying around ya know. so might as well eh?
 
that ipod is pretty sweet. is there any way to set it up with the verizon network to make and recieve calls? that jailbreak thing is pretty cool...
 
yes there is a way... but it's a PITA.... once u jailbreak it you have to update software and then install the app... it's a dial app. but does not matter about network. it's WIFI. you can dial out but there is no "VOICE INPUT" on the ipod. SO! you will be able to hear whoever u call just cant speak. because there is just no voice imput device. i have jailbroken many ipod's for people.. very easy ;) ....
 
I like the idea... I saw someone on car domain did it with their Mark... put it in the front of the rear quarter panel; covered up by the interior rear trim.

Another guy was just talking about installing one in his mark and using it to control all sorts of things inside the car.
 
I've got an old laptop that I've considered doing it with but I think the wiring would be a PITA and I don't think the computer would like those days when teh car sits in the sun all day. Not to mention, it would be a target for thieves.
 
Well - if you install it where I put mine - no sun and no one can see it...
