Hey all. Just bought a black 2000 LS V6 5-speed at 90k miles. Got it for $3000 needing a new clutch, an alignment, and a few other little things. D-side front window doesn't go down, p-side mirror doesn't move, steering column doesn't go up all the way... I think that's about it. Seems like the window is a common problem; are the others common problems?

I'd like to get her electrical bugs worked out, then move on to light modifications. Any ideas or suggestions? Are there clear replacements for the orange lenses in the front bumper and headlights? I won't be able to mod this as heavily as I'd like; I'm in the Navy, so I stay pretty busy. All suggestions, tips, and comments welcome.

+1 on that

I really like the color black on the ls.. Too bad mine was green.. Welcome though.. If you turn the wiper heaters on, check it the pass. mirror is getting warm.. If not, you have no connection there or loose wires.. There also isn't very many mod parts.. Most of the work is custom..

I would've inserted the pics themselves, but photobucket is blocked on government computers, so you'll have to deal with links.

my opinion, you got a damn good deal.. That car is nice.. Can't wait till I get wheels and tires on mine.. Just an FYI,
for images.. Or when your posting, just click the picture button (right beneath the undo buttons), and insert link there (just does the

So is it a sport or non-sport? The front bumper has chrome but the rear doesn't...

I thought the same thing. Nice to see another stick shift in here! :W to :V
Also, why doesn't anyone ever take pictures of the inside of the LS? F the outside you don't drive outside the car your, you drive inside. Take pictures of where you'll be 99% of the time when you're with your car. Nothing personal against you toast, most people do the same thing

We should all know what everyones LS looks like on the inside.. since we spend 99% of the time in there, except for the few color changes its all the same :D

We need outside pics so we can laugh if we find stick on vents and crome fender guard things.

i dont get these people, they get in accidents and replace non sport bumpers with sports and vice versa, everytime i see one on craigslist i ask, if its someone that doesnt know LS's its ok, but someone that knows LS' would assume there was damage because you dont replace bumpers for no reason:shifty:

i do lol jk maybe they find em at junk yards cheaper or ebay, i mean i would get a non sport for mine it was gunna be a lot less money... just a thought.

i agree with the money part, but to resell the car, to someone that knows about sport/non sport, they should be iffy about buying a car with two different bumpers

I agree, to sell the car like that is sketchy. Althogh the seller may have told the guy about a small wreck that cracked the bumber nothing real critucal had to happen to mess up the bumber. But I don't know in any case I would be curious to know the whole situation

yes, its different when they give you the history or car fax, ive seen some of those mismatched bumpers LS's on craigslist, with the title, show room condition lmao, it may look good, but unless you saw the accident, you dont want to get screwed over..but hey.. i had my bumper replaced too before i bought my LS, with no sign of a accident, but then when i sanded it down i went from white pearl to the metalic tan, i laughed at myself. lol a replaced bumper isnt that bad, but the reason it was replaced should be known. they wont always tell you

Right I know what you mean I would be a little less likely to buy the car if they were like nothing happened to it lol eh that little thing, I wouldn't worry about that, better than if it had the right bumber and a bent frame or something because then there's no red flags that would make you look for issues

lol, that would be even more messed up, the correct replacement bumper, but underneath is a bent frame lol

It was in an accident. They didn't exactly tell me, but I noticed a few things and brought it up to them. The front bumper has 2 or 3 small cracks, and the driver's side fender is slightly orange-peeled. I didn't even notice the chrome/no-chrome difference; I really have no knowledge of the LS. Since the clutch is bad right now, I'm basically just hoping I didn't buy a jacked up ride lol. Can't really tell til I get that fixed.
