overall, wow, i love it. although i have a few querks i'd like answers too.

1. airbag light. code:23. been told its the steering wheel clock. something i could handle? affects the horn as well.
2. heated seat, drivers side doesnt work at all. passenger kinda works (warm) half the time.
3. at an idle, both driver and passenger blows ice cold AC. when i take off, only the passenger side is cold. drivers is actually warm. (been told dccv) or low coolant?
4. when i start off in the mornings (cold) it shifts firm. after its warm, its not really noticable. also does it when im putting it into gear. but only when its cold.
5. where the HECK can i find some aftermarket headlight and/or foglight lenses?! are they even made? or patented?
6. drivers door.. sometimes it unlocks, sometimes it sticks and i litterally have to pull it unlocked, or twist it hard with my key. (wtff?)

other than these small issues, I LOVE IT! can anyone answer these questions for me? always love the forums, looking forward the LVC!

Welcome to the forum. Nice LSE that you have. Paint looks good on it. The rims are not from an 06 LS they actually first generation chrome rims that came certain LS cars from 2000-2002. To answer you first question, that will be your clockspring. It's located behind the steering wheel so if you are not inclined on taking a steering wheel off then let the dealer do it. As far as aftermarket lights, check ebay. You can find some lights with the clear turn signal and angel eyes installed. Search through the forum as you will find a lot of information on different mods. I'm sure other members will chime in on some of your other issues. Once again welcome.

Sweet ride dude. WELCOME!

One thing though, those are not 06 wheels. They came on some 00-02 model years.

EDIT: haha LeaSr beat me to it.

Welcome!!! Extra nice LS you have. Great to have another enthusiastic owner join the forum.

Welcome to LVC. That LSE looks just like mine when I bought it. Yours looks like it was tken care of a little better tho.

You can find tinted fog lights on ebay. Headlights are all factory, none custom are made. You can take them apart and take the amber lens out and change the bumper blinkers to clear also.

The seat heater is most likely a burnt wire in the element itself. You will need to disassemble the seat and take the cover off. Solder the wire back together and it'll be good.

Climate control issue is probly your DCCV.

Air bag light code 23 is your clockspring.

Shifting issues are probly related to the transmission shift solenoid and/or fluid level.

You can check out my progress thread and see some of the things I have done to my '02 LSE

I 3rd that the wheels are correct for the year. As far as firm shifts go try disconnecting the battery overnight and see how that works. It will reset the tcu and allow it to relearn the shift points. Headlights can be purchased on eBay if you look you can find them preloded with halos or angles or there are some members in this forum that will do them for you. All this aside I love the Lise's and aq a little jealous. Take care of that Lse nice ones are getting harder to find!

rims in the picture arent the ones currently on it. i'll post a pic of them tomorrow :)

I think that you may find that you need an aux pump as well as new DCCV. If you find that you don't get heat (when you want heat) at idle, it is the main symptom of aux pump failure.

The aux pump is right there by the DCCV, so it would be more convenient to check it now and replace it with the DCCV if it is indeed failed.

also, difficult to describe but: say im stopped at a light, and i press harder on the pedal, almost makes a crunching noise, like you can actually HEAR it tightening up. do i just need to grease caliper bolts?

I tried re-greasing the pins and the back of the pads. That crunching sound (sounds like a rusty cable being drawn through a sheath) went away for a short time then would return. I replaced the calipers and the brakes have been quiet ever since. This was for the front brakes; the rears have always been quiet.

This is usually a symptom of a bad master cylinder. Sorry.

Edit: That was assuming it was coming from the brake pedal area. If you don't feel it in the pedal, then it's not the master cylinder.

I just replaced my drivers door complete latching/handle mechanism because it was hard to open, Seems the cable stretches. $214 from stealer. Nice ride! These vehicles wear out the front & rear sway bar links, just replaced mine with Moogs, they come with zert fittings to grease & 4 times heavier than original. Easy to replace. LS corners like it is on rails now. Body lean flat in corners up to tires screaming!

My car had this noise back in 2008. A friend of mine (mechanic) sprayed pb blaster (spray lubricant) above the brake pedal (guess there is a.spring up there) and that noise has been gone since.
