Its going on as we speak, told em to take there time all day if they need. so im at home now.

basically im doing 2.5" (starting from behind the oxygen sensors) all the way back. Putting on a stainless steel X pipe, removing the resonators and putting my moroso spiral flow mufflers in place, then straight pipes to the back.

the exhaust tips are where it gets intresting, the ones i got are 2.5 inlet, dual 3.5" outlet. and apparently theres some brakets and :q:q:q:q in the way. so they are going to do there best to make it look right.

the best part is its only 250$!

Vids and pics soon!

Hopefully they are cutting the bumper to make the tips come out straight back instead of angled down.

Looking forward to the pics and video!

Sounds cool!

I think you would be best to have been there for the install. Those tips might look horrible if they are not sitting straight out and flush.

Can't recall what could be in the way? Anyway, looking forward to the pics and vids, as I'm sure you're looking forward to having the car back. :D

im antsy as hell. i want to hear it!

the guy doing it owns a LS1 WS6, so if that says anything, he knows what looks good.

we talked about the tips for awhile, there so wide is the problem. prolly 8 inches wide. heres a pic of them...

there angle cut but not staggered.

heres whats in the way...(bracket to the right)

the bracket to the right of the tip near the spare tire well is the problem. i told the guy to cut whatever he has to cut weather it be the bracket, the painted bumper, the non painted bumper. just make it look good!

I know for a FACT that the tip in that second picture is 3.5" wide... :D

exhaust is on! sounds great! looks HORRIBLE!!!!

hahaha oh well. Guy didnt want to cut into my bumper where its painted. i said, well if i mark what i want cut will you cut it? and he said sure!

so ill go back tomorrow, or maybe even tonight, and get it straightened out!

"looks HORRIBLE!!!" LOL.. sorry to hear that, I was really wondering how they were going to make those fit.. I still look forward to seeing how, probably would have been easier if you had Gen 1 rear so they could start fress with the cuts.

i do have a gen 1 rear bumper.

anyways update is... i marked where i wanted her cut at. there gonna tuck higher then JattGary's. they should tuck nicely and give me the look i want.

on a side note, weve had 700,000+ people out of power. place had power all of today, i drove by tonight to check on her becuase i said they could fix it tonight and they had no power! so i guess ill be waiting a little longer. UGH

You don't want it too high cause it will chip the paint off your bumper from the vibration and it will be a pain to clean. That's my 2 cent for you.

Gary, got a sound clip? call me silly, but if an exhaust is gonna look mean it has to sound mean. going from a single 2.5 to dual 3.5 should be deep as hell. but I'm curious

i plan on doing duals also.. i just have the turn down tips for now. on flowmasters. 40 series

I just have a set of 3.5" inch beveled tips. My girl says they look like her TA's. I promptly handed out a fresh five for comparing my LS to a third gen firebird :)

I'll try to get a video clip by this weekend. I personally love the way it sounds flowmaster 40s.

im dying to hear it. I wouldnt run Flowmasters for performance reasons, but i do love the way they sound

Ill get a sound clip soon, just got the car back. looks better but still not where id like it. ill take it tho.

she sounds good forsure! quiet on the highway too, quieter then when i had just mufflers and turndowns ill get some pics up tonight and hopefully a vid, its windy tho.

and its dual 3.5 tips not dual 3.5 piping. just to clarify

Man,... I need to see this!

Those tips look nice and I heard a sound clip of those spiral flows before and they sound killer on the LS!!!!
