Keeping in mind they are held to Ford's standards and specs, not just any sweat shop pumping out crap and getting away with it. Safe to speculate they sourced a reputable company which is held to batch testing and would be held liable.
Interesting thing though Rigs, you all have seen the phantom overheat posts I have. 99.5 % chance at this point it is the Motorcraft thermostat that is one year old sticking. Stealership did all the tests, but stated they couldnt reproduce it (went with problem from saturday to tuesday took in on wednesday, how odd). So since the cooling system is pristine from their tests, and they dont have a code, they wont warranty it out. 3 times in two months its done it.
My point is while Motorcraft may still be decent stuff, the lower cost sourcing they are doing yet higher profit margin pricing indicates we should really look at options. If the Chinese thermostat is any indication for Cops.... <shrugs>
