Neighbor has a '95 MK8 for sale....

....with 96L miles on it, and it's in great shape. Anyone here have a short list as to the pros and cons of buying this particular year, other than the crappy headlights, and blend-door issues?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I though Gen2's had the problem with blend doors, not so much gen1's? 95's just have the kinda bad batch of valve springs, nothing really more.

I won't have access to daylight pics for a few days, lol. I'm just trying to remember if the 1997-1998 cars were better for reasons other than the HID headlights....

There are the 96 HID housings for sale occasionally here and on Ebay pretty regularly now.
