Need some help...

I am in need of a throttle cable for my 93 mark 8. the car stranded me the other day and i had it towed to the dealership b/c they told me they could have it fixed that day...needless to say ford has discontinued the cable. I have tried autozone and the one they have is a universal and will not work. Thanks for your time reading this and to any future help may come of this. Ryan
