I Hey guys, I just recently got together the funds to do some needed repairs on my car. I had held off until now because what I need to repair all requires the subframe to be dropped. As it stands I need to do the oil pan gasket and oil filter adapter gasket. While everything is apart I am going to replace all the strut rod bushings with FoMoCo parts... I am ordering new tires tomorrow and the car will be aligned after all the repairs are done. I will have enough money to do one moderate mod while I am at it that also requires the subframe to be down.
They are:
1) Front 1 1/4" addco sway bar with Energy Suspension bushings. The bar will be about $205 plus $16 for the bushings.
2) Cobra manifolds and steering column mods. Already have a set of manifolds for $80 and the column parts would be about $130 plus $100ish for exhaust work.
3) Save up and do it all at once.
While the car is apart I am installing a set of Turbo Chuck's stage 9 engine mounts, an Energy Suspension trans mount and also the flaming river steering joint.
I am looking for biggest bang for my buck. If I do the front sway bar, I would install the rear one in the next month or so. I think the car would sound badass though with the exhaust finished with no cats, gt500 X and the borla mufflers. I am torn, I can only do one mod at a time and the exhaust is at the top of my budget.
