I need to remove the front nd rear Lincoln star emblem from the front grille and rear plate frame. I am having issues with mine. I am afraid to force either and break the the grille and/or rear plate frame. Does anyone have any tips on how to do this without breaking the grille and/or rear plate frame?

The trick is heat. Use a hair dryer to heat up the emblem. This will loosen the adhesive backing. Then, slip some thread or similar behind the emblem and work down. This has worked the best for me and you won't break the emblem. Also, the older the emblem the more prone it is to breaking. Just take your time and it will come off.

I also used a little lighter fuel or charcoal starter(naphtha) to soften the adhesive.
Hopefully I will be able to get the new emblems on today.
