Im wondering if the wires need to be switched??

I'd say the wires are backwards too possibly, or it's possible the ballast needs to be grounded to frame?
Do you have some jumpers that you could test them right from the battery to the ballast harness?

Ok i went back outside and flipped the plugs around and they work........for about 5 mins then the drivers side goes out. I can mess with the wiring on that side and it will turn back on for another 5 mins, any ideas???? All the harnesses are connected really good, it almost seems like the wire has a break in it.

you might need a relay harness, the cars stock wires are too small of a gauge to supply ample power to the ballast.

Well i went and rechecked everything and the drivers harness was loose, the clip on the factory harness wont hold the connector tight enough to keep a good connection....so i zip tied around it and went for a bumpy 25 min drive and everything is working good for now. Ill keep the stock bulbs in the car just in case. Heres some pics.

LOL Well intill another white hood falls into my lap and some body to pull the core support out about 1" so it will latch again comes free, hood pins are the only way the hood will stay shut. I am looking into getting a cowl hood from LMS but thats a big chunk of $$$.

I think i got it fixed, its hard to tell since i dont drive the car. Its hard to do anything to a car when you dont drive it, thats why i was installing the HID kit at 11pm last night.

look at the road lit up!!!!!!!!!!!!!! makes me happy to see such improvements after someone gets a set of lights back from me!! hey if you want to take a road trip to florida i'll weld a new core on for you and put a mint hood on in your color already for $200 bucks for the whole deal! i have 3 opalescent 1st gen hoods!

Thats a damn good deal!!! lol too bad my cars not opalescent white, its just a plain white. Jamie id love to take a trip there, i just might take you up on that offer this summer. Im soooo very very happy with the headlights Jamie, i bet my Mark 8 has never had this much light at night time.

your car is opalescent white, the code is WK, opalescent is plain white but with pearle on top, you are thinking of ivory pearlescent. see my car is the same as yours!!

Nope, its been repainted once before. When it was repaired they painted it with a diffrent paint, theres no pearl to the paint at all.

Heres the best shot i have of the paint. The body shop that was going to repair it after i got hit couldnt even come remotely close to matching the color.

The answer is............

What is VVME?

vvme.com is the distribution/sales company who sell the Hid kits. I ordered a kit for my bike over the summer and loved the bright results so I bought a set for my Mark 8. I reccomend them to anyone who wants to convert over to Hids. vvme.com is out of Lewes,Delaware and the lights come out of China. They ship via DHL and they arent too expensive. So check them out and maybe you buy a set. I think you will enjoy them.

Yes, that was anwsered in post #8. I just got back from a 340 mile trip and the lights were fu*king killer the whole way back home. I can now drive at night time!!!!!woooohoooo

lol i just took my 95 to get chinese food for dinner in clearwater and i almost never drive it, but man those hid's i put in it are schweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!! so amazing that for under $150 we can actually see in a gen 1 again!!!!

I know!! I was thinking about chopping the car up to build my 68 coupe but now i love it again and want to keep fixing back up to what it was like before the wreck but better.
