I want to install an Audio System on my LS but i wanted to know what you thought of my setup:

- 12" Kicker CVR Subwoofer
- Planet Audio 200wX4 Amplifier (2 ch for the Sub and 2 ch for the speakers)
- Planet Audio Equalizer

Im using my factory head unit since I dont want to lose the 6CD option

I would probably go with a stronger amp for the sub, and a separate one for the highs. I have a friend that runs a stereo shop. probably the best in Jacksonville. He has always told me 99 out of 100 equalizers cause a buzzing sound in your highs, kind of like when you run your power wire and avs close together. If you get good amps then you will be able to adjust your power and sound from them. Understand you want to keep your head unit, but with an aftermarket head unit(a good one) some have built in memory, play mp3s/dvds. 1mp3 cd is easily equal to 6 cds. Its all in what you want though. Your car, Your money, If its price then let me know, I am quite the tight wad and I can tell you some cheap setups for a good price.

All i want is a setup that sounds like the 03-up LS with subwoofer... i want fidelity... this is one of my X-mas presents so i cannot argue with my uncle hes the one who bought it

it will sound clean.. eventually ur going to want to upgrade the amplifier, but thats always an option.. the EQwith help but what other speakers do u want to run with the amp?

i would bridge the channels and send 100Watt max to each sub and let each speaker run off the head unit.

remember when an amp says its 200Watts that it's the max output.. that means it can run 100watts RMS before it distorts the audio feed... since it's by 4, your looks at 25watts of power per speakers RMS.. if u bridge the amp ur looking at atleast 50watts per speaker..

think about that one..
