i need cheap mods that will add lots of hp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anything will help (car is completly stock except for coil conversion kit)

Welcome to the world of Mark VIII ownership. Mods aren't cheap. They can be affordable if you turn your own wrenches, but affordable is a relative term.

You may have been better off with a Fox Mustang to mod on the cheap.

you can pull the air silencer, might already be gone since your on coils, kinds wraps the air susp compressor, not big gain if any, but maybe. and lighter is faster. as for free thats about it

someone sig on here says (fast, cheap, reliable, you can only have 2) i think that sums it up well (dont forget the intake resonator, thats cheap too after that cheap is no option)

neither of these mods I could consider "cheap".. but for the "best bang for the buck spent" you should do a tune and gears...which is roughly a grand.

UD Pulleys? Those are something I am looking to get next and dont break the bank.

Empty out the car! Seats, carpet, everything! Same HP pushing less weight would make it faster...

I didnt say they were cheap. Cost me about $1200 for those mods not including a new driveshaft.

most hp per initial dollar is N20.... but then you have to pay like 50 bucks eachtime you fill the bottle and thebottle last like 5-10 pulls (depending on shot and use)

Welll... I guess it was said.. the answer is no...

There are cheap mods which will cost very little.. most were listed..

These will help you but not until you do something big with their effects be seen in HP and then it's to get the extra 10ths to 100ths of seconds off your time down the strip.

NO2 is the cheapest but I wouldn't recommend it until your car is really ready for it. Gears are another way of just changing where your power is located... either early in the take off with 410 or higher Stock they are set for your power in the higher end or while in motion. 35 mph or better.

As it sits the car should be good enough to do most of your needs... with a few of the mods described above you'll sound better and run a little better.

Not everyone has chimed in on this yet. But this thread is common and if you search a bit you will find out what members have done.

Still if you want to bring your times down it's going to cost you like on any other car.

Plugs - $50-$250
Chip - $250 and up
MAF - $250 and up
Exhaust - $300 and up
Gears - $250 and up

This is just an snap shot of some prices for mods. Correct me if I am wrong.

Also what do you call cheap???

Tint windows to 5 percent................

Gut interior so all you have is a seat (stock seats weigh a lot too) and a steering wheel and some gauges.
I bet you could get the wieght down to being close to a stang

Best cheap mod: higher paying job
There ya go! Now that I have a good job I can afford doing things to my car that I only would've dreamed of last year and I have a nice place with lifts to work on my car. Working at mckey dees or not at all wont cut it. Especially with a 4.6 mod motor. And as everyone else said. It's not cheap. If you wanted cheap and fast you shoulda bought a 5.0 rustang with some slicks.

get stickers.......lots, and lots of stickers. that'll make your car go fast, ooooh and put a fart can on, and a filter that'll get you like a million horsepower:D

Check your Fuel Pressure, the Guys at LMS said if your not getting the Right amount of fuel Pressure on an older car you will lose alot of Power, I think there was a forum a while back about an upgraded Fuel Pump i am goin to get a new setup for mine soon. then a shift kit, and MAF kit from LMS and you can put an Exhaust with a double XX setup might not give you 2 much more power but it will sound good
