alright guys as you all know i blew the transmission out of my 95 at the end of the summer. now i was wounding if i should rebuild/replace it? or should I 5 speed swap?

Im on a limited budget, but if i sell my truck i could get the money to put in a 5 speed (TR-3650) and save up from a couple paychecks.

just wanted to know what you all think. I go out and start her every once and a while and im really missing my LINCOLN! :(

You'll need to budget 2kish for q 5 speed. That's the route I would go though if I had the cash and time

I am not sure if a 5 speed swap works with the word budget very well. JMHO.

Very true. I would find a 98 trans with under 100K on it for $300 or less and put that in. 2003 Mustang GT trans and many other will work also. Just make sure the tail shaft on it is the short style. Re-pin or swap out the internal solenoids and J-Mod it and be happy! Swapping over to a 5 speed isn't in very many peoples budget at all, especially just for a normal stock Mark. Doesn't your Mustang have that? If so, keep the Mustang for the 5 speed needs and put a nice auto trans in the Mark and keep it as a Mark should be. JMO!

LOL budget AND 5 speed. LOL Get a used auto for 250 dollars and be done!

yeah but id like to get one out of a 98, but even then i dont want this trans to lunch itself as well

i dont have a mustang

ive got a 96 ranger with a 5 speed but it has a 2.3L in it hahaha :p

Imo put a used one in and start collecting all the parts needed for the swap a year down the road.

I've got a good used tranny out of a 98. 130,000 miles $200 Pick up in the K.C. area. Might even make a partial trade for your w3z2.

Peeps harp on the older then 98 trans. LOL My 1993 has been beat on WOT 7000rpm shifts and raced at the track(way more then so many here) and holds the fastest times N/A and NOS and 60 fts 1.58. Man my trans stinks! LOL I do have 2 spares thought a 1995 and a 1997.

I have you confused with someone else on here that has a black Mustang and I don't even know if it a 5 speed, V8 or not... The car is in his sig pic too lol. I should have noticed that when you posted.

Thats me and Stangman, both got black Stangs lol

We put a 23k mi mustang trans in my 94 for less than $1000. That included the trans, new filter, new u joints, and other random stuff.
