oh man that sucks; your car looks like its impeccable. Luckily the damage doesnt look too bad. new fender, pretty EZ.
It does suck when you get into a good accident though bc the ins companies want to total even the low mileage gen2s. the value of the cars has dropped like a rock, but the cost of parts hasn't fallen as preciptously. ins will low ball a gen2 to pieces if they total one... so yall should be prepared to fight them tooth n nail. look out for them using low ball comps that do not specify appearance packages & so forth. also pay exceptionally close attn to the features listed in the comps that you might have but forgot to list when the adjuster asked about it.
the only pro, is that if it isnt too bad you can buy your salvage back and fix yourself if youre so inclined. just know youre going to have to keep it until the wheels fall off to ever see a 'return' (in the form of avoiding the cost of buying a replacement vehicle) on your time and $ for salvage and parts. headlights really seem to be the biggest exterior expense on a gen 2. seems like everything else you can get for a semi reasonable price, you just might have to do some hunting.
