Yes, Ford will have their conversion kit out late april/early May. They contacted one of the guys selling one of the kits on ebay and made a deal with him. Not sure if they are going to modify the design at all.

It was originally slated for March. They did NOT make a deal with the eBay guy. Think about it - its Ford, they can easily make their own conversion kit. The guy is saying that to drum up sales.
According to Ford, a conversion kit to halogen was suppose to be introduced this spring, around March. The kit was for 97/98 model years only and may include new housing. These kits are to be installed and sold only by authorized blue oval service centers.
I just called, they have nothing yet....

Halogen conversion kit? What a bunch of cheap bastards.
Also, I really don't see Ford using any ebay conversion kit. These kits are really cool and do the job, but they are FAR from being OEM quality.
That guy has been caught telling a bunch of bull**** lies in his auctions before, so I wouldn't be surprised if he were doing the same now, just like when he was telling people that OEM HID-9500 bulbs are $800 a piece.

Same here. Gen2 Mark VIII = HIDs. End of story.
