Ah screw it, swap in a Chevy 350. You can probably find a decent one for around the same price. Motor mounting kits are easy to come by as well.

cant beat a running 5.0 with a 5 speed for 200 bucks... and the 5.0 has forged internals
 
Where can you find a running 5.0 with a 5 spd for $200? I have a 70 Maverick that needs a transplant.
 
86 to 91 mustangs have forged internals stock... its not a complete mustang 5.0, its a 5.0 engine and 5 speed trans for 200 bucks
 
I'm still looking for a fox body. I found an 89 5.0 auto for $1000obo that needs some minor work but the guy still hasn't gotten back to me so I'm assuming he sold it.
 
yea... the Fox bodies are the way to go for drag racing.. and ever sense i hear the K members are the same from the 4 cyl to the 5.0.. I love these cars that much MORE!

well its coming along good... found someone to buy the 4 cyl computer harness for enough money to buy the V8 harness... got the interior cleaned up preetty good and about a week away from pulling the motor and trans...

going to fill some un need holes in the engine bay to clean it up a little, and paint the engine bay black... so when i paint the car i wont have to have it painted!
 
oh the last picture i thought was pretty cool... the stock 7.5 rear end has 3:73 gears... so i will bash this rear end up alittle bit with the V8 before it get pulled and replaced for a 8.8
 
Car looks pretty clean. I notice the roll of duct tape on the floor, never leave home without it.
 
At least it should be a factory option...:p
 
id throw a built auto in it. Transbrake launches are AWESOME. But then again, 5 speeds are alot of fun.
 
Good luck, I just sold my 5.0 a couple of weeks ago. I let all the extra parts go with it or I would have sent them to you for freight costs. You'll have a lot of fun with that car. The insurance will be nicer with that vin #
 
I have Flowmaster exhaust sitting in my garage for that car, well for the 5.0 and mac headers as well with the h pipe.
 
how much... my brother just picked up a 89 5.0 and needs a cat back and im sure would love the H pipe and headers...

he bought the car for 1000 bucks and all it needs is a trans rebuild and a cat back... all it has now is the stock catted H pipe!
